Fairs and Festivals
These are held from 1 to 5 September.
The festival is held in honour of the Virgen de Las Cruces, and events include high quality musical events.

Romería de la virgen de las cruces   
At the beginning of September, the romería is held in the sanctuary in honour of the Virgen de Las Cruces, who is the patron saint of Daimiel.

Fiesta del Pimiento
   
The ‘festival of the pepper’ is held on the first Sunday in September.  
Pisto Manchego (ratatouille) is prepared in a huge frying pan for everyone. Various activities are organised for all ages, from storytelling and games for the younger ones to workshops, concerts and a medieval market that can be enjoyed by all.

Wine Fairs and Festivals
Held from 1 to 8 September, this festival has been declared of national tourist interest.






The festival includes the offering of the first grape juice to the Virgin. There are numerous additional activities: competitions, tastings, concerts, and much more.

Exposición Internacional de Artes Plásticas   
The International Fine Arts Exhibition is held from 1 to 8 September.
The Valdepeñas Town Council Modern Art collection includes works by prominent artists, such as Antonio López, Pancho Cossio, Agustín Úbeda, Antonio Guijarro, Juan Bartola, Francisco Arias, Alfredo Alcaín, Julio Vaquero, Alejandro Quincoces, Mon Montoya, etc.
