| Villarrubia de los Ojos Romería de San Cristóbal This religious procession takes place on the first Sunday in May. People go to the Chapel of San Cristóbal to eat hornazo, a sweet bun with an egg on top held in place by a cross made of dough that has all been oven-baked. It is customary to “crack the egg” on the forehead of the first person you can catch. At the end of the religious event, a large hornazo and a small statue of the image of San Cristóbal are auctioned. Afterwards, the Saint is taken back to the Chapel, also with a procession, and when it arrives at its doors it is exhibited during the popular distribution of the bateo (toasted wheat). |

| Romería a la Virgen de la Sierra This religious procession takes place on the third Sunday in May. People carry La Virgen de la Sierra on their shoulders to the altar built for the celebration of mass, and once the ceremony has finished, the Virgin is taken to the Chapel again amongst constant displays of faith by its loyal followers. |
