In Tierra de Caballeros and Tablas de Daimiel, we take quality very seriously.
One of our greatest concerns regarding our work as a tourist destination is ensuring that the services provided to our visitors reach the greatest possible degree of excellence.
Therefore, in collaboration with the tourism-related business sector and public services, we have developed several quality assurance strategies based on a comprehensive perspective and recognition procedures. To do so, we are fostering nationwide initiatives sponsored by the national tourism authorities through the Sistema de Calidad Turística Española (Spanish Tourism Quality System, or SCTE in Spanish).
The two main strategies in the SCTE are “SCTE Sectors” and “SCTE Destinations”, and both are reflected in Tierra de Caballeros and Tablas de Daimiel.

ESCTE Sectors, organised by the Instituto para la Calidad Turística Española (Spanish Quality Tourism Institute, or ICTE in Spanish), uses the Q de Calidad Turística (Q for Quality Tourism) trademark as its symbol, which represents the top national recognition regarding quality for a tourism company or service. Fortunately, in Tierra de Caballeros and Tablas de Daimiel, we have several tourism services that currently hold this prestigious award and many others are working diligently to earn it. Furthermore, SCTE Destinations is an initiative developed jointly by the General Secretariat of Tourism and the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces, best represented by the Sistema Integral de Calidad Turística en Destino, (Integrated System for Quality Tourism Destinations, or SICTED in Spanish). This programme is currently being implemented in Tierra de Caballeros and Tablas de Daimiel, and its ultimate goal can be summarised as assuring quality in our destination in the most homogeneous manner possible, by having the greatest number of businesses receive the Compromiso de Calidad Turística (Quality Tourism Commitment) distinction, after undergoing an arduous ongoing improvement process in service provision.
