The Tierra de Caballeros and Tablas de Daimiel Municipality Association is a local supramunicipal entity composed of the Ciudad Real province municipalities of Almagro, Ciudad Real, Daimiel, Valdepeñas, Villanueva de los Infantes and Villarrubia de los Ojos. The sole corporate aim of the Association’s bylaws is to manage a Tourism Dynamisation Plan and any other actions geared towards the improvement and promotion of tourism in the region.
The Tierra de Caballeros and Tablas de Daimiel Municipality Association is the only local entity dedicated solely and exclusively to tourism in Castilla-La Mancha.
Their central office is located at the Ayuntamiento de Almagro, Plaza Mayor nº 1 of said municipality. However, since 2002, its administrative headquarters have been located in buildings of the Palacio de los Condes Valdeparaíso de Almagro (c/ Bernardas nº 2), by virtue of a transfer agreement entered into with the owner of the building, the Provincial Council of Ciudad Real.
Its main governing body is a Plenary board that comprises a representative from each of the Town Councils that make up the Association. The President of the Association, who is the top representative of the Institution and also exercises Joint Presidency over the Plenary Session, heads the executive structure. The structure of the governing body is completed by a Vice-President who exercises the Presidency in the absence of the President.
